Hello There!
Today is Random Thursday! This is the day where I write most of the random stuff about animals including stories and more. Today I shall tell you a story about a dog named Hachiko. Yes, many of you may know about this legendary tale about Hachiko. The dog is of an Akita breed and the story which I am going to tell you is of a sad one. Get ready your tissues for as you may cry after reading my post...

Well back to Hachiko, this dog is known as the most loyal dog ever. Hachiko was a dog owned by a Japanese professor named Hidesaburō Ueno who works in the agricultural department in the University of Tokyo. Everyday Hachiko goes to the train station with his master and awaits his return in the evening. He never fails to wait for his master, or rather good friend patiently at the station.

Unfortunately, one day, Professor Hidesaburō Ueno did not return as he died at his workplace and did not return to the same station where Hachiko was waiting for him as usual. Soon afterwards, Hachiko returns to the same train station daily for 9 years to wait for his master. Even after being given away to another family, Hachiko would escape and go to Shibuya Station to wait for his master. People bring treats for Hachiko daily as they know that the loyal dog was waiting for his non-returning master. Hachiko died in 1935 due to an infection on his heart. Hachiko's body was stuffed and displayed at the National Science Museum of Japan and a statue of Hachiko was then built as a symbol of his loyalty to his master over many years.

I feel that even though Hachiko is no longer around, his loyalty towards his master can still be felt by many including myself. Hachiko will always be remembered by the world for years to come. This is also another lesson learned by us humans that not only humans are loyal, animals are included too. That's all by me!
Thank you for reading!
Love,
